skull diagram.PNG

in this task we looked at the structure and form of the human skull such as the placement of the Zygomatic Arch's, we were given an exercise to label the human skull main features.

In this task we look at the difference e in a female skull to a male skull , the main differences are the gonial angle e.g. the angle of the jaw and the supercillary arches which for a male is alot wider and prominate

•Skull is joined with fusions called sutures

•Front of egg is the Frontal Prominence of the frontal bone back has opposing external occipital protuberance where the neck muscles join, the nuchal ligament and trapezius attach to it.

•Earhole is called the external auditory meatus

•The construction line runs from the external occipital protuberance through the external auditory meatus along the top of the zygomatic arch to the bottom of the orbit.

•Cheeks malar eminence. Then there is a cavity front of the sunglasses, ages the face. Depending how much fat is there.

•Orbits are largely rectangular. Spiral in on themselves.

•The superior and inferior borders are very important the gestures define the folds of the eyelid and infraorbital folds

•Bottom of the cheekbone defines the bottom of the nose

•Temporal fossa, the fossa where the temporalis attaches.

•Mastoid process

•Nuchal line where the nuchal ligament attaches across the occipital protuberance

•Temporomandibular joint are the two joints connecting the jaw bone to the skull where the mandible articulates

•Angle of the jaw flares out at base of Ramus

anatomy:nose

the nose is the fleshy protrusion located in the middle of the face that works as a principal part of the respiratory system, in addition to being the primary organ of smell. The human nose is composed of skin and other soft tissues, along with cartilages, and bones that extend from the skull

In this task we look at the nose and the main parts which have been labeled, learning about the anatomy to understand how the nose works to create a digital nose on zbrush , learning how the nose works considerably helps to design a nose.

Nasal valve collapse or lateral nasal wall collapse refers to a loss of support for the tissues of the roof and side wall of the nose causing a collapse of the side wall when the patient breaths in through the nose. This can result from previous surgery or injury, can occur with advancing age or can be present with no obvious cause.

sculpturing the nose was hard at first but learning about how the nose works and what tissues and bone define the nose helped a lot, For me I found it easier to put slight definitions on the face to get the nose more correct and real, i think the outcome was a huge improvement to other artists first go.

here is a video of the steps i took to create a nose using my fine art, realism and anatomy skills, together I was able to create a human nose using these techniques, this was my first attempt sculpting in ZBrush and the nose looked elegant and real

anatomy:mouth

lips.jpg
old mouth.jpg

The lips come together to close the opening of the mouth, forming a line between the upper and lower lip creating a facial expression, a wide mouth can be quite attractive like the actress Julia Roberts has a wide mouth which People find attractive, people with a wide mouth usually have a very big smile and when we talk about a person’s mouth, we are usually talking about their lips and people convey their emotions and feelings through their mouth.

If someone is friendly and open, they will often have a full smile — this makes them look friendly.

But if someone is angry or hostile, they will show this in their mouth too — tight-lipped and firm.

In this task we look at the mouth and the main facial lines which have been labeled, learning about the anatomy of the mouth helps to understand how the mouth expressions change the face and using emotions in the smile can helps to design the mouth.

Cosmetic facial plastic surgery is surgery meant to enhance visual appearance of the facial structures and features. Common procedures include facelifts, eye lifts, rhinoplasty, chin and cheek implants, liposuction, and procedures to correct facial wrinkles. ENT specialists are well trained to address all these problems.

While bad aesthetic outcomes are certainly a great concern, there are larger issues at stake as well. Common complications following plastic surgery include infection, necrosis, wound separation, fluid collections or abscesses, and blood clots

When plastic surgery goes really wrong, the result can be permanent pain, disfigurement due to severe scarring or asymmetry, paralysis, or even death. It’s a sad fact that people do lose their lives every day as a result of something going wrong during or after surgery, and plastic surgery is no exception.

However, it is helpful to understand that death rates in plastic surgery are relatively low compared to death rates in surgery overall.

sculpturing the mouth was easier than the nose , putting slight emotions into the mouth gave it a more real look where the nose had no emotional definitions so without the facial lines it would have been hard to achieve realism for the mouth, a slight lift in the lips gave a slight smile.

video of mouth...

here in this video are the steps I took to create the mouth using anatomy skills, The mouth sculpting took me longer than the nose as I had to use more brush techniques, we also got introduced to a new brush which is called dam standard.

anatomy:ear

The human ear consists of three parts—the outer earmiddle ear and inner ear. The ear canal of the outer ear is separated from the air-filled tympanic cavity of the middle ear by the eardrum. The middle ear contains the three small bones—the ossicles—involved in the transmission of sound, and is connected to the throat at the nasopharynx, via the pharyngeal opening of the Eustachian tube. The inner ear contains the otolith organs—the utricle and saccule—and the semicircular canals belonging to the vestibular system, as well as the cochlea of the auditory system.

Millions of people get their ears pierced, and most of them have no serious complications. Mild irritation and infections are common, however, for new piercings. In most cases, infections aren’t serious and clear up quickly.

The earlobes are fleshy and fatty, with strong blood flow. They heal quickly, reducing the risk of an earlobe infection. The upper ear is cartilage, a thick, stiff tissue with less blood flow.

Piercings in the upper ear are more likely to become infected, and infections in the upper ear are sometimes serious.

this task we looked at the ear and the main parts which have been labeled, learning about the anatomy of the ear helps to understand the ear and how it protects the ear drum and works like a speaker to narrow in sound and where it is coming from.

ear 2.PNG
shit ear.PNG

sculpturing ears was very hard with the amount of layers the ear is made of and the protection built into the ear to protect the ear drum.

here in this video are the steps I took to create the ear using anatomy skills, The ear took me longer than the previous tasks as I had to use a lot more brush techniques

anatomy:eye

eye close up.jfif

Eye function renders you the sense of sight. They convert light into electrical signals. Afterwards, the brain deciphers these electrical signals into images. Properly working healthy eyes are able to perform the following functions.

this task we looked at the eyes and the main parts which have been labeled, learning about the anatomy of the eye helps to understand the structure of the eye and the fat and skin that protects the eye.

eyeball size.webp

The main reason for needing glasses is literally down to the anatomy of your eyeball and how that changes as we grow and changes over time, which is why eyesight does tend to change. The other big reason for needing glasses is one that affects, well, nearly every single human in the world and that is the natural loss of focus for near vision.
